Appreciative of the mentorship, opportunities and support from family and friends that he has received throughout his life, Ian Mahinmi puts a strong emphasis on helping youth and the communities in the places Where He’s From, Where He Lives and Where He Plays. He commits his time and efforts to giving back to those communities through advocacy, community events, education,  fundraising, grant funding for small businesses, speaking events, and more.

Below are the components we incorporate into each I AM Foundation Initiative:

Leadership

The Ian Mahinmi I AM Foundation provides leadership to children in its communities through basketball camps, children-focused events and more. Providing leadership to children at a young age creates a more positive future for everyone.

Mentorship

Through camps and events, the Ian Mahinmi I AM Foundation provides mentorship to young children. Providing guidance through leadership and service is an important pillar to the foundation.

Service

Founded in service, the Ian Mahinmi I AM Foundation is dedicated to giving back to the communities that Ian Mahinmi calls home. Through advocacy, awareness, fundraising, programming, grant opportunities, community give-back events , education and more, the Ian Mahinmi I AM Foundation is committed to service for people of all ages.
